Good location. The site we chose was big enough for us to set up 2 tents fairly distant from each other. And the distance between the sites were fairly good to keep each site from being on top of each other. Wish the paths to the lake were clearer and more direct. It would've been nice to have a better campsite map to really understand the location of each site in relation to the lake.

Campsite was very dusty and dry, but it was summer. Anywhere near the lake was super windy as well. Fun times, just hit mother nature at the wrong time!

The website said very few sites were available, but when we were there, there were only five sites in use. We don’t understand limiting the campground during peak season.
The lake was nice but for the distance we had to walk with kayaks, we could have camped elsewhere for free.
Will the sites be opened up more in the summer or was this a computer glitch?

Great place to bring the family. Our grandkids had a great time on bicycles and the canoe. Beautiful sites and very nice paved roads. No electric hook ups for those in trailers who need electricity.

From Yakima, travel 25 miles on Highway 12 to the junction with Highway 410. Travel 29 miles on Highway 410 (Chinook Pass Highway) to milepost 88.4. Take Forest Road 18 (Bumping River Road) for 11.7 miles to campground.

Single site fees include 1 vehicle and 1 legally towed vehicle. Any additional vehicles are subject to an extra vehicle fee on-site, space permitting. Extra vehicle fees are half the single site price. |
