Wildcat Fire in area close and thick smoke and road closures. Had to turn around and leave, missing Mt Rainier, which was so sad!!!! They wouldn’t return our money as we’d need to request via email before 7 days and our 18 camping travel had just begun.

Site 15 is nicely perched on a little rise. However, the slope made it impossible to completely level with blocks. The campground was quiet and lovely. The drive over Chinook pass is beautiful and intimidating with steep drop offs. Great hiking nearby. It is one of the closest campgrounds to the White River entrance to Mt Rainier NP if you failed to get a timed entrance ticket and need to depart very early in the AM to enter before 7 AM.

great campground! really lovely for spending time at Sunrise. quiet campground. site 33 was perfect, on river and nice space from surrounding sites. one downside was that there was A LOT of trash in the dumpster that was overflowing before finally being picked up. but otherwise would highly recommend!

Great campground with incredible sites along the river. No water supply for RVs so be sure to fill up before you arrive. Trail along the river through the campground is hard to find and blocked in many locations.

About an hour away from Paradise. The campground is great, no flowing water though.

Stayed here four times and never disappointed. Quiet, clean, convenient. Host was also super friendly and responsive, helped addressed a noise issue at midnight!

We even got wished a happy 49th anniversary by the park host. Loved photographing the river, and sittting in the warm sun. The weather was perfect. The campground was quiet. It is conveniently located to the park.

The site was spacious and conveniently located right next to the camp host site and bathrooms. The site got hot pretty quickly as it was super exposed. There's a little trail you can take down to the water and take a quick dip! Lots of trees around the site which was nice for us to set up our hammocks.
