Willey West / Elevated Experience, what can I say...
For starters, we've been going there regularly since the we moved to Alberta and started camping, and our children are now adults.

Danica and I love this place, the big sites, the trees, the river, and the people are nice, from the front gate to the shore, if you need something, it's all good, help arrives. As long as we're able, we will keep coming back.

We spent two days and a night at cabin 8! We are both seniors and disabled and my birthday was coming up so we wanted to go camping for a change. It was the first time for us in 16 years! This campground is very nice! Very clean and quiet at our location. Lots of trees and it’s well mapped out. For cabin 8, I already called owner for some suggestions. I had a difficult time getting on the little deck as the tide was a bit high so we put something on the ground for me to step on. Also, the bed was at my husbands waist level and he’s 5’10! Once in the bed though, the comfort was second to none!! We slept like logs! Cabin was well equipped with mugs, glasses, cutlery, pots and fry pans, sharp knives but no plates. There’s perked coffee but I didn’t see filters. We brought instant coffee with us anyway. There’s oven mitts and paper towel and tin foil ect. A small fridge with freezer, microwave, toaster and water cooler.
Very nice cabin 8! You won’t be dissatisfied! Just call ahead of time with any disabilities and they will accommodate. Oh and the TV you need to hotspot with your cell phone as they have no cable or satellite or internet. :)

Ten Stars from us!!! What an amazing experience we had. The owner is amazing and all the staff were great too! They delivered some wood to our site and noticed a happy birthday sign up and all came back and surprised my daughter and sang her happy birthday and brought ice cream, cookies and a gift! So over and above! Heading back August long weekend and bringing all our friends too. Face painting, kids karaoke, live band, pancake breakfast, poker, laser tag, trails, showers, ice cream shop, store, on the river, huge park, big sites…. Perfect for families!

June 11/2026. We just spent the best weekend at Willey West Campground. Check in was easy where we met the owner and operator Carmen. Carmen and her crew were so welcoming! The campground is absolutely beautiful! Plenty of trails around the campsite nestled along the river where our kids throughly enjoyed themselves trying to fish and skipping rocks. The activities they had for the kids were so fun. 4 wheeled peddle carts were at hit with the kids old and young. The store had everything you needed and the kids loved going to get an ice cream treat in the afternoons. So many things to say about this campground and the staff. It was all amazing and we will definitely be back with our friends and family.

The showers were a little too hot for my daughter, though.
