What Guests Are Saying

Puntledge RV Campground offers a peaceful and well-maintained environment, with spacious sites and friendly staff, making it a relaxing getaway close to the city. Guests appreciate the large areas and easy access for RVs, as well as the upcoming new bathrooms and showers expected by summer 2026. However, some concerns were raised about the shower card system and additional fees for early access or extra tents.

The sites are very wide and deep. The road inside the park is wide to effortlessly back in your RV. The sites will accommodate all class of RV’s. The pull through’s have easy access in and out. The new bathrooms and showers were near completion for 2026 late spring/summer operation. The store/ office is large and staff are very friendly. This will be a nice RV park to visit in the future.
There are long term rv sites, they are located on the outer sites. Those units/sites are new and clean. No concerns at this time.

After booking a site for 2 people and one dog I read that we can only have 1 tent on our site without being charged for an entire 2nd site. I tried to cancel this reservation to find a more reasonably priced location for two of us with two tents only a few hours after making the original booking and was charged a $35 cancellation fee. I emailed to have this resolved and was not able to get a refund. Will not be staying here.

The group campsite was great, although a little noisy from passing traffic. We had a really fun time camping and tubing the river.

Charging $20.00 to access the campsite before 3pm is unkind.

We stayed one night in #46 - huge area with 7-foot-high cedars on either side that will soon give lots of shade. Owner and reception person care about their customers, by dint of displaying a positive attitude. This RV place is good - right on the river --> albeit nothing (but God) is perfect. **

** Tell the truth - I'd rather see a slightly higher cost with free showers than having to purchase a card with a $15 downpayment and going through the motion of going back to office before leaving to get reimbursed the remainder as advised - so we never took showers at night or in the morning like we usually do. Showers can be timed to go off every 30 seconds. A First Nations campsite on Quadra Island does this and it is a great way, imho. Please consider. You could always go back to the current way. Bet you'd get more 5-star reviews too.

Sincerely, Dean Rintoul - Tradesperson (and former B and B owner - 4.6 out of 5 with >100 reviews)

We found this campground to be the quietest we’ve ever stayed at, which made for a really relaxing experience. The grounds are spacious, well‑kept, and conveniently close to the city, so the location worked really well for us.

The only downside was the shower card system. At times the card would show an error, and by the time we realized it, the shower minutes had already been deducted even though we weren’t able to use the shower. It would be great to see this improved, but overall the campground itself was excellent.
