What Guests Are Saying

Ucluelet Campground boasts a great location, within walking distance to the town's amenities, and offers an affordable option for budget travelers exploring the Tofino/Ucluelet area. The campground features spacious sites and clean facilities, with friendly staff maintaining hygiene throughout the stay. However, it can be crowded and noisy, particularly near bathrooms, and the limited shower facilities may require some waiting.

Good location, you can walk easily into the local town where there is a supermarket and places to eat drink. Lovely site with a really nice feel to it. Showers are OK, very small cubicles and floors wet so get dirty with people walking in and out. Fine with flip flops on though. 3 outside cubicles are much more spacious. Would definitely go back.

Ucluelet Campground is one of the more affordable places to stay in the Tofino/Ucluelet area, and that’s reflected in its popularity. During our stay it felt like a Canadian vacation zoo—families, groups, kids everywhere, and constant activity from morning until evening. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, this probably isn’t the campground for you.

Most sites are dry camping, with few hookups available, so be prepared if you rely on full services.

That said, if you’re traveling on a budget and want a convenient base for exploring both Ucluelet and Tofino, it’s a good option. Accommodations in this area are expensive, and this campground offers one of the better values if your main goal is to spend your days out exploring rather than relaxing at your campsite.

It would have been nice to know just how close the campsites were to each other, absolutely zero privacy and felt like sardines in a can! Water is unreachable and wish the pictures reflected that on the website so people would know what they’re getting into. This campground needs to designate certain areas for rv camping and another for tenting, I wasn’t over thrilled by camping in what felt like a parking lot. Would NOT stay again!

We booked site near bathrooms, big mistake so much noise from the bathroom, showers ( everyone driving there car and parking near our tent.) this is also where the garbage and dish washing sinks are, we heard people at all hours of the night doing dishes in the metal sink and the heavy bear safe garbage bin clanking all night. Previous review posts say the staff is strict on noise after hours, this was not the case, big parties making noise until early hours in the morning. The only positive i have is the facilities were very clean. They have staff cleaning multiple times a day.

The campsites were spacious and very nice, and the campground itself is in a beautiful location. The washrooms were clean throughout our stay.

However, for such a large campground, we felt there were not enough shower facilities. We had to wait around 30 minutes for a shower, so we ended up using the shower in our motorhome instead.

We knew in advance that we would need to change campsites once during our stay, which was absolutely fine with us. The second site we were assigned was so uneven that it was impossible to park our motorhome properly. We went to the office and asked if another site was available. Thankfully, we were given a different site, although the staff member we spoke to was not very friendly, which was also our experience when we first arrived.

On our last morning, the next guests were already waiting outside our campsite before 10:30 a.m., even though check-out was later. That made for an uncomfortable end to our stay.

Overall, the campground has many positive aspects, but there are a few areas where the guest experience could be improved.
