This is a real gem of a campground. Ideal for large RVs or tenters. Washrooms are clean, lots of hot water and food well water. The owner is very friendly and helpful. We met the nicest people there if all the places we stayed along our 4 week excursion. Highly recommend the place!

We had an amazing stay at Riverbend Wilderness Camping! If you're looking for a true camping experience surrounded by nature instead of rows of crowded RV sites, this is the place.
The wooded campsites offer plenty of privacy, creating a peaceful atmosphere that's perfect for relaxing and unwinding around the campfire. The owners were welcoming and genuinely cared about making sure everyone had a great stay.
What we appreciated most was that it actually feels like camping. You can hear the birds, enjoy the trees, and disconnect from the busy world while still having access to clean washrooms and the essentials.
If you're expecting a luxury resort with paved sites and endless amenities, this probably isn't what you're looking for. But if you enjoy authentic wilderness camping, beautiful scenery, and a quiet atmosphere, I highly recommend giving Riverbend Wilderness Camping a try. We'll definitely be back!

A bit creepy to say the least!, you arrive at a gate and have to call, they tell you to open and close the gate. The site barely fit our RV and there was only one broken down trailer in the park. The picnic table must have been from years ago, there was no room on the site and it seemed as if we were in a scene of one of those chainsaw movies, we left immediately not for us. I am sure the owner has genuine intents but to be honest, this is not worth the stop and time to stay. There are much better around the place.

We stayed in the loop, and our first impression wasn’t great. The campsites hadn’t been mowed, the leaves hadn’t been raked, the fire pit had garbage in it and the mosquitoes were absolutely unbearable. There was also a strong urine smell at the back of our campsite. Also the picnic table was in very bad shape, we didn’t trust sitting on it.
It was frustrating having to open and close the gate every time we came and went. When we arrived, we were simply shown our campsite and that was it. No one pointed out any amenities or explained where anything was and no map.
Before we left, we drove around the loop looking for a dumpster but couldn’t find one, it was 6am so we left our tied garbage bag beside the picnic table. We didn’t have room in our car unless we put it on one of our children’s lap. Two days later, I noticed a $50 charge on my credit card for leaving the garbage bag.
After paying $152 for two nights at an overgrown campsite that we could barely enjoy because of the mosquitoes, the extra charge was very disappointing. Based on our experience, I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you’re hoping to spend time outdoors.

Absolutely LOVED our experience.
The owner is very welcoming and friendly my kids loved him. This was the perfect Family environment!
If you are looking for a Safe and Peaceful environment that gives you the feeling of being in complete Nature this is the place for you!
We wanted to have a break from the busy city life, feel like we were living in the wild, build survival skills, refresh our spirits and build team work within our family unit and it absolutely fulfilled what we were looking for.
We stayed at the Glades site it was completely private, and the perfect size for our Family (myself, husband, and 3 children).
We were not to far from the river so we could swim with the kids and fish. There was a perfect area away from the current that my kids had fun playing in. We saw some animals along the trail which was really cool! Beavers and Deer , Eagles and some raccoons. We heard beautiful bird sounds through out our stay it was soothing to wake up to and my children loved the education that it brought throughout the stay learning about different birds, trees, plants.
There is berry patches and fiddle heads!
Also some cool history about the area as well and made it that much more exciting.
The bathrooms were perfect for us and clean and maintained well. They even had a cool nature park that my son loved!
Highly recommend. We will be back through out the summer and throughout the years.
