Absolutely stunning scenery! The owners are down-to-earth, pleasant & driven to succeed! This campground is a smaller, quaint, peaceful spot to settle in & enjoy your summer! Rob & Taylor have moved mountains ($$$) to continuously improve the campground & the overall vibe of the campground! They took on the monster task of a campground that had been left in disrepair & was totally run down, before they purchased it 2yrs ago.

New faces & faces who've built decades of memories here, are building new relationships. The beach is beautiful with a brand new huge load of soft sand for the children to play in, the sites are a great size, the water is lovely & they are VERY dog-friendly here! Lots of new plans in the works & we can't wait to pull up our sleeves, be a part of it & make our own memories here for years to come!

Very happy campers, Jenn & Sean ;-)

My husband and I stayed here a couple of months ago and had a wonderful time in one of the cabins.

The beds were comfortable and we had all of the amenities of home (save for internet, but we had good service).

The weekend we visited it had been raining alot, but the folks that run the Resort had a Karaoke party in one of the lodges and we had the best time ever with all of the other campers.

Everyone was really friendly and you can tell that the park is managed by really lovely people. They also appear to be doing a huge updates to the park (waterfront, rec center, communal washrooms, laundry, trailer lots etc). We are excited to go back and see all the people we connected with and to see the progress that has been made!

My wife and I are seasonal campers here and we love it! The owners are very nice & very flexible. They have put a tonne of money into the park & many more improvements are in the works. All of the campers get along great & we all help one another out. It feels very much like one big extended family. For the folks who like to complain about things NO ONE has any control over?? Shameful. Where fire bans are concerned--when there is a fire ban, NO ONE has a fire. For a couple of mths last year that DID include fire rings. If there was a ban, you didn't see ANYONE having a fire. That we can guarantee you. Everyone here respects the rules and Everyone respects both the owners AND other campers. The owners are fair and very engaged with their camping family. We are very happy & we look forward to many more years of fun & relaxation. Great job Rob & Taylor, keep up the good work!

This is a camper and cottage resort. The cabins are under refurbishment. We stayed in one that was 50% refurbished; they will be lovely once completed, but will still retain the cottage feel. Everyone was friendly. Canoeing the Magnetawan was lovely and there are several provincial parks within an easy drive for some beautiful hiking opportunities. A Tim Hortons about a kilometre away makes mornings easy if you are heading out for an adventure. While we didn't fish, this area is a huge sport fishing destination. Really a great location.

A little piece of gods country 2 hours north of Barrie. The Magnetewan River resort is a beautiful quaint resort/trailer park with updated cabin rentals, beach, boat access and ideal for fisherman, kayak, canoeing and paddle boarding. Spent a weekend with my family and will be back! Thanks for great summer memories Rob & MRR!
