I wasn't able to go Friday night and the app wouldn't let me change my reservation. Campground was great. They hosted over 35 campers in our group in the middle of winter. Everything was perfect

The host couldn't bother giving me a parking pass when I checked in and when I went exploring for the day and returned later, someone was at the gate. They wanted to know if I was staying there and where was my parking pass. They gave a post it note to stick in my windshield. My campsite was beautiful by the water, B44. The bathrooms in Doris Campground are disgusting. Looks like they have been cleaned in months. Toilet paper everywhere, filthy toilets and sinks. I would not stay at Doris Campground again. You could see the host riding around in his vehicle and always waved, but he sure never stopped at the bathroom/showers to check on them.

Great place to camp tent or RV. Lots of wildlife in the area, it’s connected to the hiking trails and not far away from town. The campground Hosts are always friendly and present here. Only downside is The bathrooms are in need of remodeling or rebuild, but that’s unfortunately the case with a lot of the state and national parks anymore.

The campground has potable water!! The Recreation.gov website has not been updated letting campers know that the campground now has potable water available at all the water hydrants within the campground. Knowing this information before we traveled to the campground would have saved us the weight and extra fuel to fill our fresh tank prior to leaving our home. Otherwise, the Camp Host was great and we had a wonderful time camping at Cam Doris.

I am an avid rock climber, and have been since the 80s. The Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge has been held together and managed very well with the huge increases in tourist traffic and other negative impacts.
