Starlight Haven at Weiss Lake

We had the BEST time at Starlight Haven!! The views? incredible. A short drive to great hiking with a waterfall and rope swing available. The dome stay was the most intriguing part, they have everything you need inside to be comfortable for a long weekend! They really take pride in their product and it is well-maintained. I highly recommend for a relaxing retreat with your family, friends or pets!!

We stayed at the 12. Weiss Geodesic Dome and had an absolutely phenomenal experience. We paid for early entry and did have a small lock issue, but it was immediately resolved with a quick call to the number provided. The staff was extremely friendly and genuinely wants guests to have a great time.
I’ve stayed at several vacation spots where amenities like hot tubs didn’t work properly—everything here worked and was very clean. It was comfortably warm at night and cool during the day, and you can truly tell that the property is very well cared for. The location itself is beautiful.
We brought our small dogs and really appreciated the poop stations placed around the campground—it made cleanup easy and thoughtful. We also took a trip to Little River Falls, which is about 20 minutes away and absolutely gorgeous. If the water hadn’t been so cold, we would have loved to use the kayaks that Starlight Haven offers. I especially loved the docking station that helps you get in and out of the boats—such a great touch.
There’s a community fire pit that they provide free firewood, lighters, and fire starter… who does that?! That level of hospitality really stood out.
A couple of small notes: our kitchenette didn’t have hot pads for cooking or a cleaning spray, but there is a Dollar General Market nearby, so it was easy to grab what we needed.
The only real concern we had with this particular dome was the presence of Asian beetles on the inside ceiling. I’m not familiar with how these enclosures are built, and thankfully Asian beetles are more of an annoyance than anything else. At night, they tended to hide. We picked up a small vacuum with an extending handle and were able to manage most of them before bedtime. There are two small beds on the upper level and one bed for two on the lower level—I wouldn’t recommend having anyone sleep in the top bunks if this issue is present, since they’re very close to the ceiling fabric where the bugs get in.
Overall, this was still a 5-star stay. It was lovely, and you can clearly see how much effort and care goes into this location. We’d absolutely love to come back and try a different campsite. Thank you for such a great experience!

I am so glad we found Starlight Haven! I surprised my husband with a weekend birthday trip, and it ended up being the perfect getaway. We stayed in Dome 8 right on the lake, and it was everything we hoped for: private, quiet, cozy, and the view alone was worth it.

One of our favorite moments was relaxing in the hot tub while it snowed, then watching the snowfall from inside the dome. When we left, the lake had somewhat iced over, which was such a cool sight to see. Even with the unexpected winter storm, we made the best of it.

The maintenance team and staff were amazing and stayed on top of everything to make sure we were warm and comfortable the entire time. The customer support and communication really stood out and are a big reason we’ll definitely be booking again. Next time we can’t wait to bring the kids so we can enjoy swimming, fishing, and kayaking on the lake too!

We had a blast here! Such a well maintained space. We had cabin 14 (modern cabin) & loved how it felt pretty secluded compared to the others. All amenities were as described. The one caveat was that they refilled our hot tub with fresh water (awesome) but it took 12 hours to be usable. They were kind on the phone and did a great job explaining the situation. Luckily, check out is at 11 instead of 10, so we could use it in the morning. Highly recommend!

We stayed at Starlight Haven Glamping Domes for two nights and had an amazing experience. The dome was beautifully designed, clean, and surprisingly spacious. It had all the essentials you’d want for a comfortable stay, while still feeling like a true nature escape.

The best part was the peaceful atmosphere. Waking up to birds and falling asleep under the stars was incredibly relaxing. The outdoor setup was perfect for evenings

The hosts were responsive and made sure everything was smooth from check-in to check-out. It felt private, cozy, and well thought out.

If you’re looking for a unique getaway that balances comfort and nature, this place is absolutely worth it. We’d happily stay here again.
