It was a beautiful camp. The older employees were very adamant about not breaking parking rules. We have a camper van so, I guess it could be confusing. My father uses a scooter and had to drive down to unload his scooter. We had to do a lot of extra back and forth to be sure he could access his scooter to get around while visiting. We were threatened with having his vehicle towed from overflow parking. He is a disabled veteran who lives in the area of the camp, which is why we chose this location to visit.

Fawn Loop is small but quiet. Hoot Owl and Fox are a little crowded but the views are great. Huge swimming area, two boat ramps. Clean waterways. Bathhouses need some pest control but that’s normal for most campgrounds. Only issues were with the front office staff.

Beautiful campground with lots of shade trees. Our site had lake view with trail leading down to water. A bit of a steep climb. This is a double site so lots of room with asphalt drive & gravel picnic area. Very clean park with different camp loops. Each loop had it's own bathhouse. Plenty of space between sites so even though our loop was full you didn't feel cramped together. Nearby town of Jasper about 12 miles away has everything you'd need. Will definitely be back to this one. Only negative & not a huge deal is when making reservations there is an additional fee for electricity & fee for online reservations so even with my Senior Pass discount price was a little high. But worth it I believe.

A campground for all! One loop is great for families spending a Summer on the lake, one is great for biking to the swimming area, and one is great for singles, couples without children. Bear loop has no entertainment for kids, all of the other loops are more kid friendly. Take a fan and extra extension cord!

This is one of my favorites. It is woods & water. The premo sites are the water sites of course but most sites are good. Bear & Fawn loops are more woodsy where the other 2 loops (Fox & Hoot Owl) have water views from some sites. There is a beach area outside the campground. There are multiple signs posted informing of no swimming at your campsite. They are strict about folks parking off pad...DON'T DO IT!! I wish other CGs would follow suit. This is why this campground stays so beautiful. Oh... and wear tick repellent for any hikes through the woods. We picked approx 11 off of us while there the week leading up to Memorial Day.
