Had an overall good stay here. I will say those bath houses need updating. There is only 1 shower stall in the Fawn loop bath house with cold water only and to get that you had to push a button that would give you maybe 30 sec of water at a time. Also, our friends woke up to a big green sticker on his windshield saying his truck was going to be towed if he didn’t move his truck bc 1 tire was barely off the asphalt. The sticker left a terrible residue on his windshield. They could have left the notice under a windshield wiper, but instead chose to ruin a paying camper’s windshield. Also, there was no grass at our site only barely enough asphalt to park your camper, vehicle and small pebbles that were used as ground cover that got EVERYWHERE in our camper.

This is a nice park, but way too many so called double sites. At least a third if not half are large single sites that they allow two rvs, 4 vehicles, and 12 people to occupy. We enjoyed our first week until spring break came and all the sites filled up including all the double sites. One of the reason we like COE, national forests, etc is the sites are always spread out and spacious. No so here. Great campground otherwise, if they would just eliminate most of the double sites.

- Don't Move Firewood: Help protect our forests! Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. Moving firewood is illegal in some states. Visit dontmovefirewood.org to learn more.

- Entrance office hours are Monday - Thursday 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. & Friday - Sunday 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. The Day Use Area is open from 8 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Office hours vary from August to October, please call ahead. Swim Area closes after Labor Day. After-hours access for registered campers is available by calling ahead to (205) 300-1463Be sure to reserve a site that will accommodate your equipment because the site you reserve is your site, you may not move to another site. Single sites 2 tents or 1 tent & 1 camper/RV. Double sites 4 tents or 2 tents & 1 camper/RV. Tents must be on the pad not in the grass or woods. Double sites are for 12 people and up to 4 vehicles. Single sites are for 6 people and up to 2 vehicles. Additional vehicles can be permitted ($10 daily fee) and parked in over/flow day use area. If you have more than the recommend people you must reserve another site. All visitors must pay $10 .Alcohol is not allowed in the Recreation Area. Campground has a two tent maximum per single site. Two vehicles for registered campers only. If it does not fit on your paved site you must park in overflow.There is a fee of $10 for additional camping vehicles that will be collected at the office. All visitors must purchase a $10 pass and park at the swim area and be picked up by the camper you are visiting. To see what our campground has to offer you can tour it Monday - Thursday during office hours. A $10 refundable fee if you are out with-in 30 minutes.Animals/Dogs are allowed in the campground on a 6 ft. or less leash.
