Enjoyed how close it is from out home. Has lots of activities fishing, swimming, and hiking. The only thing is the showers are cold.

People are extremely rude!! I rented a pavillion for a graduation party , after paying to rent it online , they charged me a $50 deposit upon arrival that I had no idea I would have to be paying then all I had was $100 bill and they said they didn’t have change after I watched 7 cars of my own party guest drive through and they charged them $10 per car so I know they had change! They were rude and very unprofessional! We use to camp here every holiday and spring break for years and we quit because of how rude the people were and now we will quit renting the pavilions as well!

If you value your time and peace of mind, I strongly advise you to avoid Clear Creek Recreation Area in Alabama. My recent stay was, without exaggeration, the most frustrating experience I have ever had. From the moment of arrival, it became clear that the facility—managed by the concessionaire **BA Services**—is plagued by systemic mismanagement and a total lack of transparency regarding their operations.
The check-in process is an unnecessarily convoluted obstacle course. The gated entry, rather than providing actual security, acts as a barrier to basic hospitality, and the management team seems intent on keeping guests in the dark about critical rules until a conflict arises. Communication from BA Services is abysmal, and their onsite staff seem to spend their entire shift driving around in golf carts, preoccupied with enforcing arbitrary rules just to exert power and make themselves feel in charge. Even worse, their enforcement is completely inconsistent; while they were quick to harass us over minor issues, they completely ignored other guests parking their boats at our campsite and taking off for loud midnight fishing trips, showing a blatant disregard for campsite etiquette. I personally witnessed BA Services employees ignoring their own rules to let family and friends into the park for free, spending their work hours socializing with their guests while they were supposedly "on the clock" and managing the property. Beyond these failures, the atmosphere is deeply unwelcoming; the hosts were consistently unfriendly, contributing to an environment that felt hostile rather than inviting. It is clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority for this company. This is not the type of environment where one can relax; it is a masterclass in how not to manage a property. I cannot recommend Clear Creek to anyone, and I certainly will not be returning. Save yourself the frustration and take your business to a facility that actually respects its guests.
