What Guests Are Saying

Grandstand RV Park is highly praised for its welcoming staff, peaceful environment, and well-maintained facilities, making it a great choice for families and pet owners. Guests appreciate the variety of amenities, including dog parks, clean bathrooms, and good walking areas. While some sites may have leveling issues and internet connectivity could be improved, the overall experience is positive, especially for those visiting during quieter times.

This is a new campground right next to the Talladega Super Speedway. Probably extremely busy during race week but the rest of the time best suited for an overnight or 1-2 day stop (not much else to do in the area). I'd read reviews prior to booking our overnight stay and had read about sites being unlevel. Sure enough, we were 7" down rear to front on spot #45. Campground reviews indicated the eastern most sites were a little better in this respect vs the sites as you moved westward further away from the office. Visually, that appeared to be the case. Site 45 also has a short/stubby tree on the left side that contacted our slide when extended which also made access to the left storage bays difficult. Our site had picnic table and fire ring. The site in general was surrounded by dirt/grass, thus rain would probably tend to make the site muddy. Entrance to the campground is a long gravel road with no to little room to move over if one camper is leaving and another is arriving. The sides are dirt, so after a heavy rain there may be a possibility of getting stuck if moving to the side. Electric is 50-amp only but the office will free-loan a 50-to-30A dog bone. Water pressure was extremely high at 110 psi (we use a regulator to keep pressure at 50 psi). Electric was 120-122 volts. We did not unhook our TOAD and had just enough room to fit our 63' setup. Width wise, you're always walking on dirt/grass. The sites along the northern side of the park appear to be for long-term campers (and employees?). There is no trash pickup and apparently the only dumpsters are by the dump station (we did not use), which seems inconvenient unless you're dumping. There is a large outdoor pavilion adjacent to the pool. There's also 1 (maybe 2?) dog parks by the entrance. We had good 5G T-Mobile reception. On a 10-scale, I'd rate the park a 6.5 due to its amenities, but the campsite I'd rate a 3.5 due to the poor grading and narrowness.

Super clean, decent sized lots, we are especially happy because right now is a slow time for the park. So we have a lot of empty spots around us. I imagine it's pretty busy during race season. They have six separate bathroom/shower combinations which is awesome and they were very clean, they have trash cans all over. They have two dog gated areas.
They have a great field around the campsite. So if you want to get some steps in or walk your dog, there's a lot of good walking to be had that feels safe. Good lighting around the campground and a laundry room. They also have a playground for the kids that looks very nice and everything is well maintained.

This was our 4th time staying at Grandstand RV Park. This park is well kept and maintained. All the amenities you could ask for. The folks and Grandstand are awesome always willing to help out if needed.
Our dog love it too, plenty of room to explore with the two dog parks.
Will stay again.

We were just passing through and only stayed one, but the location was excellent and very convenient from the highway. It was kind of neat looking at the Taledega racetrack. Staff was wonderful getting us in last minute. Services were great. Only recommendation would be a stronger internet. But who go to Talledega to be on the Internet anyway? Vrooooom! 馃槉馃槉

Traveling is always an adventure. Some good, some bad. You always hope for the best. If you choose Grandstand you won't need to hope. It is simply The BEST. No where else will you find a place where the staff makes you feel like family, or have such a great interest in your enjoyment.
Our situation was a little different. I was there full time for almost a year. I chose the park because it was peaceful and quiet. The staff was very kind, helpfull, and organized. They showed me on a daily basis how hard they work to maintain the park for their customers.
The park offers many amenities for the family and even thinks of the furry, four-legged members.
Discovering Grandstand is one of the best decisions we have ever made.
