Visited in mid October. Park was quiet with less than 50% of sites occupied. Great for walking and biking. The sites are well maintained and well spaced out.

Prairie Creek campground is beautiful and well-maintained! The roads leading into the park from Hwy 80, as well as the roads within the park, are paved, in good condition and wide enough for our 35 ft. Class A motorhome. Very easy access into our pull through campsite, which was located on a large circle with beautiful views of the Alabama River. The site was long enough for our motorhome and tow vehicle (did not unhook) and had a level, concrete pad with water and electric hookups (50 amp) that were conveniently located and worked well. A dump station is located near the park entrance. Sites are very well spaced and nicely wooded. Reservation prices are very reasonable, especially when using one of the discount options. Television and cell phone reception was good. Although we were just passing through the area and only stayed one night, we enjoyed our time here and would definitely return!

The camp host are extremely friendly and great to work with. We were going to be late arriving so we called ahead and they meet us at the gate house upon our arrival. We had a great spot and enjoyed disconnecting from our phones and social media while we were there.

Beautiful, quiet campground with large, private lots right on the lake. We'll be back...
