We had a nice relaxing time just hiked around the campground and the road that leads to the dam and fished in the rivers. Many of the sites are waterfront, and some have their own fishing dock. Saw all kinds of wildlife. Deer, armadillos, feral pigs, waterfowls, raccoons, foxes,
The campground was well maintained and clean. They are working on replacing all the fire rings and grills. The cell service was poor on the low-numbered sites, while the high-numbered sites had decent service that we were able to connect our hot spot and work.
Be cautions of ants. So don't leave anything out that will attract them.

Beautiful and clean park. Friendly staff with great views and big sites right on the Alabama River. Quiet and really dark skies for night viewing. Really recommend it.
