It was pouring down rain. Ranger offered to change us to a better site without mud. Highly appreciated! Great facilities and people.

We love this campground. It's well maintained, spots are level as can be. Views are lovely. It's close to the Lowndes Interpretive Center, which is worth a visit, and there are a couple other historical sites close by. It's a bit of a drive to get anything you may have forgotten--the ubiquitous Dollar General is down the road, and Selma is in the opposite direction.

Sites were spacious and level. Bathrooms were in desperate need of updating. Campground is quite a distance from anything-grocery stores, restaurants, etc. there is a Dollar General within 8 miles for basic necessities. No Spectrum/Verizon cell service.
