Park is very secluded and very quiet. The only real knock is I wish the underbrush along the shoreline was cleaned up allowing better water views.

Beautiful campground. Super nice host. We had a full hook up spot on the furthest point of the creek. It was perfect.

The guys at the gate were great and very informative 👍 and we enjoyed the time there! Very peaceful. And if hadn't rained it would have been even better!

Although it rained most of the stay, it was a wonderful experience. The site was secluded and had a beautiful view. Most sites are separated and the overall feel of the campground is very laid back. Will definitely be there again.

This is my goto place for camping. On this trip though, I lost my fishing pole and reel to a big fish. Rod was on the dock and probably a BIG catfish grabbed the bait and instantly ran with it. Never had a chance to grab my rod. Great time though.

The problem with the park is there is only one washing machine for the whole park. The one at Prairie Creek located in the Eagle Roost section has been gone for over 1 year, when asked about it we are told one has been ordered. Come on it doesn't take over a year to get a washing machine. You have to go down to the other end of the park to use the only one in the park and most of the time its in use so you better wait because if you don't and come back in 30 minutes, someone else is in line to use it. Last year that one machine broke down due to so many people using it. We were told you can go to Hayneville to the Laundry Mat. That's about 14 miles one way. People camping for two to four weeks cannot wait that long without washing clothes. We were told the same thing this time. A new Machine is coming. It just didn't make it there the two weeks we were there. When we called the ranger station before we left to go camping they said they were not going to replace any of the washing machines once they broke down. the excuse was that people abuse them. Will I imagine some do by overloading and such, but must everyone suffer for the acts of a few? Solution is to go up with camping rates. even a couple of dollars more, over time, should pay for new machines as needed. Other then that camping was great, fishing was good, and camp host were a joy to be around at Prairie Creek located in White Hall Alabama.

Love this campground!! Camp host Cam is fantastic! Always kind and willing to help with questions or information. Camp sites are mostly level, easy to back into. Clean with lots of beautiful trees.
