We had a beautiful site right on the water and could watch the sunset. There are several docks you can fish from, boat ramps, and a playground. We drove around the area and there is nothing near the campground but farmland. It is a beautiful place for a relaxing weekend.

The more we traveled with our motorhome the more we've found we prefer Corps of Engineer campgrounds over commercial campgrounds. The Corps campgrounds are a bit off the beaten path, usually on a lake or river, larger campsites and so much more quiet than the commercial sites. We had a beautiful pull through site with water and electric at Prairie Creek. We had a large site with a beautiful view of the lake from our dining room window. The view was wonderful as we enjoyed our breakfast. We were just passing through on our way to visit relatives so we only stayed one night. But this is a place I really want to come back to some day for a longer stay!

Beautiful, spacious campsite right on the river. Older, clean facilities. Not very good internet coverage if you need to work on the road. Friendly camp host.

Great place to stay. The bathroom/shower a great place to stay away from. It needs paint, more shower curtains for privacy and the ceiling fan hasn't been cleaned in many years. Not to mention all the hair on the floor.
