Five nights in June. Very enjoyable despite severe chiggers and foraging ants. Remember boric acid powder or insecticide to create ant barrier especially in the warmer months. Bath houses are showing their age and should be on the plan for replacement. Nearly all sites have water access and are well laid out for RVs. Staff ate friendly and helpful. Quiet except for use of blowers when a site is vacated to remove leaves. Would rather deal with the leaves than the loud blowers. One of our favorite campgrounds but about 10 miles from groceries, fuel and supplies. All the people are great. TV reception is fair and Verizon cell phone works OK.

We have enjoyed Prairie Creek several times over the past 14 years. The place seems a little run down since our last visit (pre-covid) and the dog leash rule should apply to everyone but is not enforced. It’s a beautiful campground and the staff is very friendly. The place does need a working Ice machine. Highly recommend...
