Very nice campground. Bath house and showers better than most. Camp sites are spacious and not crowded on top of each other. Definitely would go back.

We spent 10 nights at Prairie Creek Campground. The site was great. Just a couple of yards away from the river. Right next to a small dock. Unobstructed view of the northern sky. Perfect for Starlink. The hosts we met we're very nice.
The three stars is because during the ten days, the bathrooms and showers were cleaned twice, and not very well at that. The first weekend we were there, apparently the last weekend of deer camp, the bathrooms were filthy and out of toilet paper. It wasn't until mid-day Monday that what appeared to be a contracted cleaning company arrived in a GSA vehicle to clean the bath house. Without sewer hookups, we RVers rely on clean and stocked bathrooms and showers. There also just didn't seem to be a presence there, so-to-speak. We saw maintenance volunteers just once, and conducting business with the ranger station is limited to a very short window of time during the day.
Aside from those issues, it is a wonderful campground in a perfect location.
