Everything was great until the park lost power. Apparently it was due to a very old transformer that failed. The folks at the park were very nice and offered us a refund for the night without power. We love the park and we will be back! The staff are really nice and they bent over backwards to make our stay as good as possible.

Close to Prattville, where Robert Trent Jones Golf courses, which is excellent and also close to Montgomery, which some must see sites. Well, I thought the campsites and facilties were clean.

Beautiful ACE park during the shoulder season. Likely very crowded in the summer and week ends.
Facilities are very good. The host are wonderful. This is an annual stop for us as we travel north to south.
Thanks to the ACE staff and hosts.

Gunter Hill remains one of our favorite Corps campgrounds with large, level sites. Though I should say that it's getting to be time for bathroom upgrades. This year was also the first time we didn't see the volunteers or other park staff checking the sites during the day. Let's not this gem get trashy please.

The site was beautiful and spacious, but there was a strong septic type odor that lingered for most of our visit. Also, when doing laundry (we have stackable washer and dryer in our motorhome), we noticed a terrible odor when we removed our laundry from our washing machine. Later I filled a bucket with water and the water was discolored. The water needs to be tested and the issue corrected.
The park is well laid out and clean. The park attendants were very helpful.
