Gunter Hill Campground is praised for its beautiful, spacious, and well-maintained sites that offer privacy and a peaceful atmosphere. Many visitors appreciate the helpful staff and convenient amenities, making it a favored stop during travels. While some noted minor issues with customer service and bathroom conditions, the overall experience is highly positive, with a strong likelihood of return visits.

It was so clean and nicely spaced out! We've never visited a COE campground that had full hookups! Our site was also perfectly level! A great stay!

The campground is wonderful. The park is nice it just needs to have basic the maintenance done. Noticeable things like grass cut, limbs cut back that can damage RV's, Campsites cleaned up.

The site was good. It was fairly level and shady. The road there is a bit tight if you are driving a motor home. They trim trees up, but now back from the road. We were not on the lake and I am not sure if there are any. There are a couple that allow you to see it. We were in site 36. You are close to Montgomery and all that it has to offer. We went to the State Capitol (free), went to the Hank Williams museum, we went to the grave site for HW as well, the Museum of Alabama (free and you will be there for a while), The Mooseum (free), The First White House of the Confederate (free) and the Montgomery Zoo (which is small but nice) There is a paved race track that runs once a month just outside the gate of Gunter Hill, if you are interested. We went and had a great time. The road there is a bit tight is you are driving a motor home. They trim trees up, but now back from the road.
