Lately, the Corps has given the place a little TLC. It shows. It’s a relaxing place to camp.

Gunter Hill Campground is praised for its beautiful, spacious, and well-maintained sites that offer privacy and a peaceful atmosphere. Many visitors appreciate the helpful staff and convenient amenities, making it a favored stop during travels. While some noted minor issues with customer service and bathroom conditions, the overall experience is highly positive, with a strong likelihood of return visits.

Sights are very nice and deep, most are 90+ feet long. Very quiet all week, if there is a stock car race on the weekend, you might hear it. Saw deer almost every day, very peaceful place.

This was her second time to stay here. It’s a wonderful and quiet place to stay. We traveled to eat at Uncle Mick’s in Prattville for dinner… WOW! Live music at The Lyric. Just a real good time.

Gunter Hill never has disappointed us. We stayed in site 10 which was plenty long enough that we did not even have to disconnect. Road getting to the campground is ruff and bumpy but campground layed back easy feeling is with the experience.

You just can't beat the sites! Many pull-thrus and back-ins are too easy!
