Gunter Hill Campground is praised for its beautiful, spacious, and well-maintained sites that offer privacy and a peaceful atmosphere. Many visitors appreciate the helpful staff and convenient amenities, making it a favored stop during travels. While some noted minor issues with customer service and bathroom conditions, the overall experience is highly positive, with a strong likelihood of return visits.

This was our first trip with our new trailer and Gunter Hill is a treasure in our backyard that we didn't know was there. Getting there was easy, and check-in was smooth and painless. It was easy to get to our location and setup. The scenery was outstanding and we'll bet it does nothing but get better looking as the year progresses.

This is a beautiful campground. Better bring you fishing rods and something to clean the fish you going to catch.

The sites are pristine. Some of the best I have seen at a COE campground. We stayed at Catoma loop. One of the few COE’s with FHU sites. Bathhouses were adequate. Easy check-in.
Here are the reasons I gave the park only 3 stars. We stayed two weeks.
trash everywhere especially along roadways
no camphost present around the loop
no police/security patrol
potholes throughout campground
laundry room was trashed, non working machines
trash cans were not empty frequently around the campground
most of the walking bridges are closed and in terrible condition
With all the cons, we would still camp at Gunter Hill in the future. The great sites make up for all the cons.

Very nice park but noticed a heavy sulfur smell one morning and other campers said they had noticed it previous to our arrival. No idea what it was but it was strong.
