CATOMA LOOP #33
I would say 3.5 - 4 out of 5 stars overall. Stayed 6 days as a rest stop on our way to the Gulf. Would stay again but shorter unless I was going to be fishing.
PROS:
- Clean and affordable camping
- roomy sites
- lots of space to walk dogs
- 15 minute drive to Maxwell AFB and downtown area.
CONS:
- City, county and state roads in this area are horribly maintained.
- Smell from surrounding mills tends to ruin outside time while in the campground.
- Nothing to dry hands in bathrooms.
- Lack of fenced in dog park.
- Waterfront views with very little access (our site had @15 feet drop from ground level to waters edge).

site was good. A little tricky getting to the campground from the interstate because of Garmin

Very nice campground along the Alabama River. No frills, just well maintained sites. Close to Montgomery attractions.

Nice distance between sites. The picnic tables and grill / firepits are in rough shape. The bathrooms are okay.
The price was only $30 per night. Nice lake view. Cell service / mobile hotspot (Verizon) got the job done. 4.92 down / 2.88 up.

- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
