What Guests Are Saying
Bluff Creek campground offers a serene and beautiful environment, ideal for those who enjoy wildlife and river fishing, with friendly and helpful staff contributing to a positive experience. Visitors appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities and the presence of deer, though some have noted a few issues, such as unkempt sites and noise from a nearby paper mill. The closed boat ramp and limited amenities for boating enthusiasts were common concerns, but many expressed a desire to return for the peaceful atmosphere and natural beauty.

The campground is well maintained by the COE. Unfortunately there is an industrial operation nearby which operates 24 hours a day. The operation produces odors and noise.

We have camped at Bluff Creek several times over the past few years and always enjoy our stay. We were greeted by camp hosts Anna and Kay, they made check-in feel effortless and us feel welcomed.

I live 10 miles up the road from Bluff Creek, and this was my first time visiting. If it was up to me, I wouldn’t visit any other place. Had a great experience, The people was great. The whole experience was in my top 10. Very quiet, lots of wildlife, good fishing. I have visited a lot of campsite locally this was the best in my opinion.

I was only passing thru but the overnight stay was peaceful and the views were amazing. Restrooms/showers are older but were clean. The park attendants were great and very friendly. Actually called me while I was on my way there to offer another site, because I had mentioned I would loved to be closer to the water the week or so before when I was there and now there was available. Of course I took them up on the offer and everything was ready when I arrived. The paper mill does get a little noisy at times but I live a few miles from a paper mill so kind of use to that rhythm of noise at night. This place will probably be my go to lay over as I pass thru from NE Florida heading to NW Alabama and vice versa.

Beautiful place with water on three sides.
Boat ramp out of service.
Noisy plant and train on south side. Air conditioning covers noise.

We were there for approximately 20 minutes when our daughter and granddaughter came to visit and she did not stop at the gate to get a pass and was going over the speed limit when an extremely irate off duty camphost named Kay and a friend in a black pickup came screaming at our daughter about her actions. When the truck arrived so did the smell of marijuana and screaming telling my wife to go tell Shannon the corps of engineer ranger because Shannon “already knows about Kay’s attitude and “Shannon ain’t gonna do nothing anyway”. We spoke with Shannon and she reassured us this would be taken care of. We left a day early due to us having to explain to our granddaughter that “the mean woman” wasn’t coming back. I will also be posting this to all rv apps I am a part of and RV Lifestyle groups on Facebook to warn others. I am retired military, full time RV’er and an RV Technician and spend a lot of time in campgrounds and have never experienced “camphosts” like these. Doesn’t the ACOE drug test their volunteers? I will also be emailing the Commander and District Engineer regarding these workers.
