This is a pretty good campground considering how close it is to Anchorage. Decent privacy between sites. Water availability wasn't really a thing. Trash and restrooms more than adequate.

FCFS but we found a spot on a Saturday afternoon. There were still a few spots. Lots of activity, campers, and gatherings. We have a Ford F450 and 40 ft RV. Took maneuvering to get situated in #40.

We forgot to fill the water tank and the only water source was by the camp host and only meant to fill containers, not RV tanks. The dump station was closed. No hook ups. The toilet, and I only looked in one, was a disaster. Looked like it had diaherria covering the outside of the toilet. There was a pile of goo next to the RV, in the grass, which we only noticed after stepping in it. We couldn't find the trash receptacle. Wasn't where the map indicated. For $20 a nite, we got what we paid for.

Great campground. Nice-sized sites. Close to services in town but out in woods moose and her sow right outside rigs having dinner. Reasonable price. Short turn-around, which worked for us and helps make space for more people but you aren’t able to take a week long vacation there.

I gave them 5 stars because it was a good place to camp. I didn't give a rating for the room since it wasn't applicable to me with staying in a camper and tent. The park is a good size with multiple trails going through it. I did find some bear paw prints in the sand along the river near the street bridges that runs up top of the river, I also seemed to have found what looked to be a bear den with big claw marks dug deep into some of the trees near the den as well which I thought was cool. There's multiple spots to get a kayak in the river as well. I also noticed it's a category 3 river for whoever needs that kind of info. The first night we stayed in the overflow lot where we met with a park ranger that was just doing his rounds checking in on people seeing how things were and he was a nice guy he gave us plenty of park info. The other night we moved over to campsite 53 and that site was better than the over flow one mostly because the bathrooms were closer than they were at the other site. I also can say that the park doesn't allow four wheelers there either. Overall it was a good time camping the weekend there.

I give this campground 3 stars because it feels like we’re camped in the woods even though the city is nearby. However, there is no potable water available, and the only water that is available is from a tank beside the host’s site with a limit of 20 gallons per site. The pit washrooms are awful; very odorous from a distance let alone from inside.
