What Guests Are Saying
The Mckinley Trail Cabin offers a convenient and well-located stay, perfect for families and outdoor enthusiasts, with beautiful hiking opportunities nearby. While the cabin is generally well-maintained, some guests noted issues like questionable furnishings and a lack of regular inspections. Guests should prepare to bring their own firewood, as availability in town can be limited, especially in cooler months.

The cabin was amazing! Very clean, as always! And one thing we absolutely love about this cabin is it comes with fire starter and wood for you to supplement with, we love staying here and love how it’s a perfect getaway spot in Cordova! Our only issue is the Floo on the stove, was broken and was completely open the entire trip, which made our fire go out very quickly. In the past we have never had a problem with the stove and have loved how easy it is to build a fire in it. The floo just needs to be fixed :) again thank you for an incredible stay and a beautiful cabin to stay in!! We love it there❤️

This is a great cabin if you're looking for easy access from the road. An overnight here will save you time on the next day's adventures, McKinley Lake trail and Pipeline Loop are out your doorstep. In the summer go for a swim in the lake, in the winter bring your snowshoes and x-country ski's. Bring your own wood and leave a stockpile behind for the stranded motorist.

There are two cabins in the McKinley area and sometimes confusion arises as to which one is which. This is McKinley Trail Cabin, located near the Copper River Highway, about 100 yards up the McKinley Lake Trail. McKinley Lake Cabin is on the lake, about 2.25 miles from the trailhead |
