What Guests Are Saying
Kegan Creek Cabin boasts an amazing and serene location by the pond, ideal for fishing with strong rainbow trout at the outlet stream. While the access trail can be tricky and the cabin has minor maintenance issues, such as a broken window, the overall experience is enjoyable. However, guests should come prepared with their own firewood, as none is provided.

BRING VIKING LOGS!
Amazing location but can be a bit tricky getting to if it's wet as the trail is on the worn down side - lots of broken and missing boards, bridge off the leaning dock is iffy at best, but once at the cabin, it's an idyllic location, very quiet and serene right on the pond with the outlet stream right there. Big rainbows at the outlet stream fight hard! Trail to the other cabin was definitely unmaintained, but doable if you go slow. Cabin itself was in decent shape, aside from a broken window above the prep table, ended up duct taping a patch for it. Zero firewood, none, nada, so bringing in your own is needed for the new wood stove.

Fourth year in a row for last week of August. New Tiny woodstove finally brings some heat! No USFS firewood supplied 'yet'. Bring 'Viking Logs'; pressed Tongass Forest waste wood. Big year for pink salmon, best in 4 years. Some chum, no coho in stream, but a school in Kegan Lake. As usual, some sun and plenty of rain. Trail to Kegan cove is getting very 'iffy' after many years of no maintenance.

It's a nice place I've been going for years. The USFS took out the woodstove heater and installed a fuel oil one which broke, so expect to be cold
