Trail was just good enough for skiing. Weather was cold and clear and we had a really nice ski out. Clean cabin on a beautiful bluff!

We had a lovely stay at Fred Blixt cabin. Cabin was well stocked and driveway was freshly plowed. Perfect cabin for a quick and easy getaway from town!

Standing or fallen dead trees can be hard to find immediately off the trail. Be prepared to walk into the trees a bit, and bring other combustibles for when you ski in at -35 °F! Thankful for the wood karma left behind, and for the opportunity to replenish for the next group, but don't count on it to be enough to heat the cabin at frigid temps. Cabin cooled down very fast overnight, so have a night owl and morning bird in your group to tag-team the wood stove!

Fantastic cabin, stayed warm extremely long, even in cold weather. We were up looking for Caribou in the Forty-Mile White Mountains herd. Although we were unsuccessful, the cabin made the trip much more enjoyable. There was a propane stove, lantern, pots, and a woodstove. It was tidy and delightful! What's more, it snowed the first day of our three night stay, and a plow truck had cleared the access all the way to the cabin by the second day!
