What Guests Are Saying

Granite Creek is a clean and well-maintained campground, offering a peaceful atmosphere with ample privacy due to dense vegetation. Many campers appreciate the proximity to the creek and the campground's serene location, though some sites are challenging for larger RVs. While there are occasional issues with bugs and noise from nearby highways, overall, visitors enjoy the charm and natural beauty of the site.

our sight was a little bit underwhelming; the location was nice as it was a reasonable distance from other campers. The site itself was not great for a tent as the ground was not very level, as an added note there was a lot of traffic through the campgrounds late from people looking for first come first serve sites. campground staff could improve on this problem with a sign near the entrance easily enough. there was a water source that was convenient, and a decent trail to the creek.

Campground was well maintained, the sites are not on top of each other, and there’s plenty of privacy provided by the dense vegetation

Every knows there is no WiFi or cell service. No hookups. Other campgrounds cheaper per night. Only 19 spots. Still a beautiful place and 40 min to Girdwood. Had a bad checkin experience with our site being unavailable when we arrived there because of an error on their side. Spent 30 minutes trying to find a campsite. May still return someday.

Peaceful stay. Our primary purpose was to use Granite Creek as our base for going to a live show in Hope, AK. Great spot as it's only 30 minutes away to Hope, and very peaceful. Super clean. Our site #19 was a little tight for our 25 ft camper trailer, but it worked. We noticed some of the others were a little longer, but also a few were even smaller, which probably wouldn't have worked. Nice loop to walk the dogs.

I wish the website a photos of the spots. The spot we choose had a huge cotton wood on the side of the pull in and it made it hard park the travel trailer due to the slide. Walking through the grounds it appears that most of the sites are good for short RVs/ trailers (less than 25 feet) or tents. Bring your bug spray, lots of mosquitoes! This is a heavily wooded camp ground and you can hear some highway noise when big trucks are going by. Overall not a bad stay

Not my favorite site at this campground, but I’d still book it if nothing else is available. Great camp host, perfect location.
