The propane price at Coldwater Lodge & Market is notably high at $7/gallon, which was unexpected for many visitors. While the RV site had full hook-ups, it was criticized for being cramped and poorly maintained, with small spaces and additional charges for services like the dump station. Despite these issues, some guests appreciated the location and proximity to other amenities.

Propane is $7/gallon!!! Unfortunately I did not ask before filling. The explanation I got was "we don't have many resources here." This is Hope, not the Dempster Highway. I had expected to pay maybe 50 cents/gallon more than Girdwood. Propane at Three Bears in Cooper Landing is $3.99/gallon. Get it elsewhere if you can.

We stayed at a RV site with full hook-ups. No issues.

Worst RV site we experienced in our 2 month trip to and from AK. There wasn't enough room per site for the trailer and the truck, and our trailer is only 20 ft long. Tiny spaces that are jam packed together. We were only given the option of electric, no full hookups. They do have a dump station but charge extra for it. It's super tight trying to get around, even with a small rig. I'm sure the look on my face was priceless when the guy pointed us to our site, which was a mud pit 6 inches away from another RV, with a lovely dilapidated, broken picnic table.
And no refund within 48 hrs of reservation. We sucked up the $$ and left our spot to go down the road to the state campground. No regrets there!

We stayed at the Creekbend Cafe site. All three of our RV spots were incredibly small and not level. It was quite difficult to get all the campers and vehicles parked in a way that everything fit and if we had not been traveling as a group it simply would not have worked. We arrived under the impression that a site allowing for 35 and 40 ft campers would also take into consideration that the vehicle we towed the camper with would need to be parked there (the terms and conditions states we could park up to 2 vehicles) and this was not the case. These sites have power, however we had several power surges and instances where the power cut off. There were dead branches hanging down into one of the sites that made it difficult for a taller camper to park there without being damaged. Restrooms were two port a potties that weren’t the worst but they were a little gross. The location for these was fantastic, but we likely won’t stay here again. Suggest less sites that are larger and more level as well as more extensive tree grooming and probably having someone take a look at the power surge issue as that is a major concern for campers.

Dumpster was full, deputy was here to remove a vagrant, no showers, restroom had no paper towels. One worker told us we could use the shower and laundry, next morning we were told it was not available and the worker the night before had told us wrong. Told to use shower at Resurrection Pass. Campsite was level. Water spigot was barely out of the ground below electric box and sprayed water if you didn't get hose on just right, which was hard to do being so close to the ground. Had to run sewer hose uphill to sewer in spot 4 so make sure you have something to prop up your hoses. Not something rv renters usually have. Have to drive downhill to get to and from RV sites.
