the wood shed was locked so we weren't able to grab any during our stay
when we needed water in the morning we found out the water was off so we had to run to the store to buy some
late in the evening we heard a bear scratching our car then it circled our camp
the next morning we found a fish with the head eaten a few feet away from where we were sitting by the fire
I am glad the bear proof food container is available because it prevented us from feeding the bears
when I reserved the space I found it was hard to tell what space I was reserving

Love this campground. The only thing that could have been better was to have firewood available as stated in the reservation portal. It states firewood will be available and each campsite gets one bundle of wood a day. There was zero wood available the entire 3 days we were there.

A wonderful place to camp! The sites are all very private and there is easy access to the beach and trails. If you want to camp near Juneau, this is the place. Also, it’s only about a 45 min walk to the Alaska Marine Highway ferry. I would stay here again.

It's a beautiful camp ground. #2 has amazing views, but no privacy. There is a path way with very high traffic. There is also an access path to the camp site off the path way as each location has for easy access for the camper. People walk right through this site to get back to the day parking area. Just FYI, didn't bother me. Some may not like this factor.

At about 14 miles, exit west on Old Glacier Highway through Auke Village Recreation Area. Toward the end of the recreation area turn left on Pt. Louisa Road, and the campground entrance is on the left side of the road.
