What a great experience! The cabin was in great condition. The propane heater was amazing at helping keep us warm and drying just out on a wet rainy afternoon. If you plan on using the wood stove, make plans to bring wood from nearby as there was not a good source of dry wood in the area.

There wasn't any propane left in the tank and it's hard to find firewood under the snow, so we were pretty chilly.

I have stayed at the Dan Moller several times over the years and the cabin is always in great shape. The amount of snow at the cabin this year was incredible. We have always used the water from the creek behind the cabin whenever we stay, but this year the creek was completely buried. It took an hour but we dug down about 12 feet through the snow to find the clear running water! It was pretty fun for the kids.

Cabin is in excellent shape. A quick jaunt up to the ridge offers some good skiing - it's possible to stay in the trees to reduce avalanche risk when that is a concern. With enough snow cover at lower elevations, this area is very popular with snow machiners. Pick a different cabin if you're not ready for the noise & fumes!

The walk up was beautiful. Once we got there we hung a hammock up on the upper level balcony. It was absolutely breathtaking!
