What Guests Are Saying
Mendenhall Campground offers stunning views, especially from sites like #8, 9, and 10, providing a scenic experience close to Juneau. The campground is well-maintained, with spacious sites, clean bathrooms, and excellent amenities, including free showers and bear-proof storage boxes. While there were some minor issues, such as limited shower hours and an incident with communication regarding campground closures, overall guests praised the peaceful atmosphere and helpful camp hosts, making it a highly recommended destination.

BEST CAMPSITE! The location itself is spectacular and if you book 8, 9,10, 12, 13, 15 you'll have a perfect view of the glacier from your site. Bear boxes were huge and fit our 4 bags with extra room left. Bathrooms were impeccable (even the vault toilets rooms were cleaned for trash on the floor every day and actually smelled great!) Main flushing bathrooms were also very clean with outlets to emergency charge our phones. Showers were FREE! Hot water and great pressure. One of the women's shoulders was closed so we ended up just using the whole room.
There was a big party a couple of sites down from us (6 tents/4 cars) but we actually couldn't hear them or their music from our site. The sites are very spaced out and they were good neighbors.
The campsite host was awesome and even grabbed some of our trash while he was cleaning the sites/bathrooms.

Enjoyed our stay, view of glacier from.our site. Free showers - one of two women's showers was out of service, no private changing area, no lock on exterior door:/ First time not clean, second time it was clean so it must have been the messy person before me.

Beautiful location and campsite!! Close to Juneau and the road system north. One of the women's showers was out of service but that didn't seem to cause any problems. At night several of the campers can their engines at night and/or drove around the campground, also loud arguments:/

Really nice campsite.
Sites were clean, spacious and well kept.
Bathrooms were clean but the women’s one near us ran out of toilet paper and didn’t get filled.
Would stay here again n
