Mendenhall Campground offers stunning views of the glacier, well-maintained facilities, and a peaceful atmosphere, making it a top choice for campers. Many reviews highlight the hot showers, cleanliness, and spacious sites with good spacing and privacy. Some minor drawbacks include noise from nearby roads and occasional late-night disturbances, as well as the locked gate after 10 PM, but overall, guests have had wonderful experiences and appreciated the campground's natural beauty and excellent amenities.

Camping within view of a glacier, where else can you do that! Site 9 had direct view of it. Everything else was great too, including hot showers which we hadn't expected 👍
If anything, the sites are just by the road and who knows why there can be people driving through in the middle of the night.

A beautifully set little campsite away from the crowds at the with glacier -with better views across to it ! And otters in the pond to watch. A camp fitting for the state capital; theres running water and hot showers - which were much welcomed after weeks in the wilderness.

Beautiful camp, excellent for spending the day in the area, many natural walks around, beautiful lakes and views. It was the last week of opening and the last day a big black bear came to our place - he didn’t care much.
