Our stay at Camp McCarthy was incredible and could not recommend it more! Denise is a great host who thinks of all the small details to make your stay very comfortable. We can't wait to return one day!

Camp McCarthy was an excellent glamping experience! Every detail was accounted for and thought of: camp shoes for walking around camp, towels provided for showers, bear spray, and a hot water pouch for warming up the bed on a chilly evening. The beds lived up to the hype and were truly luxurious and cozy. Everything was in tip top shape!

Megan who helped check us into camp was so nice and friendly and gave us great info on the area.

ALSO!!! Do take a walk on the camp’s nature trail - it’s just far enough out from the trees that there are some incredible views of the valley and glacier/icefall on a nice day. Cannot miss!!! (Last photo is on this trail)

The best glamping experience! I took my 70+ parents for a little Alaskan adventure and it was a great success. Denise was a wonderful host with a well thought out plan. Beds and linens were beyond expectations. The views were spectacular even on a cloudy day. The place was clean as a whistle. I would not have changed a thing. Will definitely be back.

Camp McCarthy is THE place to stay in McCarthy! Denise is an incredibly welcoming and accommodating host that has clearly put a lot of effort into making Camp McCarthy such a pleasant place to stay at. The tents have a beautiful riverside view of the surrounding mountains and the pavilion is exactly what you need (running water, food storage, water kettle, etc)

Compared to the other B&Bs and Kennecott Glacier Lodge, Camp McCarthy is quite new and is effectively glamping, an option that makes enjoying this pristine wilderness much more lively. It's all very minimalistic/comfortable and our Wrangell St. Elias trip was greatly improved staying at Camp McCarthy

Wow! My friend and I just returned from a 2 night stay at Camp McCarthy. Denise is a great host, wanting to make sure our stay went well. The details that have gone into make this place comfortable, yet one with nature, has been well thought out. I would highly recommend a stay at this scenic and unique spot.
