Blue Spruce Campground

We stayed there for about a week and a half in June 2023. The owner was there some of the time, he was quite nice. He’s in process of building a shower house. There are 9 RV spots, half that have 30 amp and water and half that have 30 amp, water and sewer. There is highway noise but it wasn’t enough to be bothersome overall. The spaces have trees in between and feel quite private although we were lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves the entire time! They have some short trails on property that our dogs loved. We even saw a mama moose and her two babies on one of them.

We stayed one night on our way to Homer. It’s a beautiful small campground (9 sites) and each back-in sight has some trees separating the sites and a stunning flower filled field in the front so we felt cozy. We had full hookups and are self contained. Plenty of room for easy back in. We drive a 32’ Class C and pull a Jeep.

This campground is a little bit of heaven. The owners are very accommodating and make sure your stay is the best. Neat hiking trail and the views can't be beat. Quiet and well maintained campground and FHU. I would recommend this campground for a relaxing stay near the Homer area. It is located a 30 minute drive from Homer and the drive to Homer is gorgeous.

This campground is small but so lovely! We stayed 2 nights in site 4 with full hookups, a fire ring, a picnic table and lots of shade and grassy area. It is very well maintained and has beautiful views. We would highly recommend it and definitely stay again when in the area.

We found this wonderful campground by happenstance, and man are we happy we did! We had planned to stay elsewhere in Ninilchik, but didn't care for the location when we came across Blue Spruce. We stayed for 3 nights, camping in their tent spot. We had a wonderful tent spot, and our own outhouse. The provided picnic table and fire ring were also great. Our dogs enjoyed the open space and walking their trails throughout the property. We even got to spend some good quality time sitting on the deck and reminiscing with the owners, absolutely wonderful people. We also enjoyed a wonderful hot shower in their new shower house, what a luxury! Don't miss out on this quiet hidden gem with tons of character and views to die for!
