What Guests Are Saying
The Springer RV & Campground is a well-maintained and clean facility with responsive owners who prioritize guest comfort. Campers appreciated the early check-in option, community fire pit, and unique giving box for shared supplies. While there is occasional noise from nearby planes and some amenities like laundry and showers are priced higher, the stunning views, friendly atmosphere, and proximity to Palmer, AK make it a highly recommended stop.

We camped here for 1 day during our Alaskan roadtrip in our motorhome rental. This campground was very clean and well maintained. The owners were very responsive to emails and text messages. They sent us an email the day before to check on our arrival time and they allowed us to check in early since we arrive a couple hours before our scheduled time by giving them a quick call in route. The site was very clean, shore power had no issues, sewer connections was very well placed and the water pressure was very good. The water was supplied from a single pipe that was routed around the campground edge with values at each site located at the back of the site. A different layout than what I've seen before but would very well in an Alaskan winter to drain the lines before shutoff. The laundry room is not coin operated and on the honor system. The cost is $5 for washing and drying a load of clothes so we texted them the total number of loads to add to our bill. No fire pits at each site but they do have a community fire pit that you supply your firewood. Not a problem since I had some in my motorhome bay ready to use. The community fire pit was put in place to keep the site party noises down during quite hours and I agree that rule! They pride themselves as being a non-party/rowdy campground. Gold star to that one. The proximity to Palmer, AK downtown was very nice and very short driving distance to the Fred Meyer store for groceries and other supplies. They had a giving box were you could take some items if you needed them like paper plates, cutlery, napkins and other items. That was an awesome idea and I've never seen that before in my travels. We took some paper plates since we just ran out and didn't pick up any at the store. We returned the favor and left some charcoal and other stuff from our rental before we turned it back in. Very good campground and I highly recommend a stopover on your way to north up AK-3 N or AK-1 N.

I am a critical grouchy old man. Very nice place with very nice hosts. When looking on google earth, the place did not stand out. In reality, it is quiet, green, and has beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. One of the nicest places I've enjoyed in my many travels. Good showers (hard to find) and very well kept. I would recommend it, and I don't do recommendations.

We had a nice stay at Springer. This place a very neat and tidy. Nice level parking pads. The showers ($5) and laundry ($5/load) facilities were excellent but a bit pricey. The hosts are very friendly. They even had fresh farm eggs for sale in the office (bonus!). We were is site 28 at the far end of the grounds and the wifi would not stay connected for us. A lot of plane traffic due to the proximity to the airport. Communal fire pit and grill is available (we didn’t use them).

We enjoyed our stay! The views were amazing and everything was clean and well kept. It was wonderful to have a community area with grills, tools, and all the accessories needed for making dinner. We took advantage of the area and had a fantastic dinner. The campground is near the airport and there were a lot of flights coming and going so it can get noisy at times, but we enjoyed watching the different types of planes overhead. That is part of the Alaskan experience. Palmer is a beautiful town. We would definitely stay again. Thanks for your hospitality.

This campground was so nice. Owners so friendly and accommodating. Very clean! I loved the pavilion with gas grill; I was able to cook all my chicken for future meals~ a real plus for me since I don’t have kitchen in my camper! Sharing bathrooms with same sexes was a bit worrisome, but it never posed an issue for me~ you just time it right! The showers same idea, but each stall has lockable doors. It was nice to see green grass too! Great RV park and owners efforts really shine.
