The campground has a nice paved loop that seemed to work well for kids with bikes. Many of the sites had RV/vehicle parking separated from the picnic table/fire ring area - something to be aware of if you like to hang out under your RV awning. We stayed at site #10 and it was overgrown with cow parsnip. There was a clearing large enough for our tent, but not much else. There wasn't enough flat area for a canopy and we couldn't hang a trap or hammock since there was only one tree on the site. The sites further away from the water had more trees and looked to be better situated for a larger camp setup. Trash and beer cans in the fire ring when we arrived and no toilet paper in the bathroom throughout our stay. Great view of Turnagain Arm from where the vehicle was parked, but the overgrowth prevented you from seeing anything from the actual campsite, which was down a small hill from where you park. A momma bear and cubs had been frequenting the area, including consecutive days leading up to and including our trip. I appreciated that the bear sign at the entrance was updated with dates that the bears were sited at the campground. Numerous piles of fresh bear droppings around our site, coupled with being surrounded by overgrowth, did not make for a comfortable setting.
