As always, Porcupine is a nice drive-in campsite, with easy access for the Hope Point and Gull Rock Trails.

Nice campground, has vault toilets and hand pumped well water at a couple of locations. Recommend bringing a water jug. No dump station. Cell service was good. Firewood available at host or at store in town. Starlink points northwards.
Right near town is a small store with basic supplies, simple groceries, ice, and propane fill up.
Also a couple of good restaurants, one is only open it seems around weekends. Tuesday most things are closed minus the store.
Tiny library with WiFi available a few hours a day except Tuesday.
There’s a place with showers and laundry off the main route, forgot the name of it.
Make sure you get gas elsewhere before coming out.

Loved this site! The excess growth had been cleared away from the picnic table and fire pit area and the view was to die for. It does get windy off the bluff, but worth it.

I loved how fresh and clean the outhouses and campsite was - the hosts are excellent caretakers. There was firewood available to buy for $10/bundle.

Great location tucked in forest overlooking Turnagain Arm. Peaceful area. Clean facilities. Nice trail to Gull Island. You need to hand pump water so it's easier to do with two people if not using a container with a wide opening; one person to work pump handle and the other to hold the container.

From Anchorage, go about 70 miles south on Seward Highway to the Hope cutoff. Bear right at 'Y' junction and continue 17.8 miles to the town of Hope. The campground is at the end of the road.
The campground is accessible via Seward Highway (approximately 70 miles from Anchorage) and Hope Highway, which leads directly to the town of Hope.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.

- Store food properly to avoid attracting bears.

- Each site is limited to two vehicles.

- There is an additional fee for extra vehicles.

- Campground season dates are subject to change based on weather conditions.
Fires & fuel
