Well maintained campground, staff are nice and professional, they keep the camp sites and restrooms clean. They brief you on bear activity, etc.

Russian River Campground is highly regarded for its spacious, clean campsites, friendly staff, and beautiful surroundings, making it a favorite spot for many visitors, including long-time campers. Improvements such as a new entrance road and well-maintained facilities enhance the overall experience. However, issues with reservation policies lead to frustration, as many booked sites remain unoccupied, preventing others from enjoying the campground.

We had a very nice, relaxing experience, and even saw some bears. The trails around the campground were amazing also.

We really enjoyed our tie at the Russian River Campground this year. We saw more bears and eagles than on any past visit. Although the fish were sporadic, there weren't many people fishing this year (probably due to the COVID travel restrictions). However, the camp rangers and other personnel were always friendly and helpful. Thanks!
