Our GPS took us straight to this campground just before Seward on Glacier Road. Check-in was quick and easy, and we headed to Deluxe Patio FHU Site 14 with 50 AMP. From the Journey signage, it appeared this KOA had recently been upgraded to a Holiday. The campground was laid out nicely, with sites not squished together. The gravel pad was long enough for our 40’ toy hauler, allowing us to drop the rear deck and still park our F450. Utilities were well-centered on the pad, and having two sewer hookups was especially convenient since we have two black tanks. Along with the usual deluxe patio amenities, we appreciated the astroturf lawn for our pups. Trees lined the side and back perimeters, but with none along the road side we had a clear Starlink shot. The campground also provided Starlink WiFi with download speeds around 22.8 Mbps. Water pressure was steady at 35–40 PSI. Verizon gave us 2 bars, while T-Mobile had none. Amenities included a tidy laundry with three front-load washers and three regular-sized dryers. A fun bonus was hearing sled dogs barking at Turning Heads Kennel next door, an Iditarod competitor offering kennel tours and sled dog rides both there and on the glacier. We also enjoyed watching eaglets in the nest right across from our site. The staff were very accommodating, even moving a grill for us and delivering a propane fill back to our site. Overall, this was a well-run campground with thoughtful upgrades and memorable surroundings.

Showers and rest rooms were clean, the park was nice. Enjoyed the stay, except for for kennel with 20+ howling dogs that was right next to the campground. It wasn't too bad inside the camper, but if you were sitting outside, conversation was difficult. Would probably still here again.

We have been staying at the Alaska KOAs on our travels. This was another location that we had one of the patio sites. This site had a 4 burner BBQ, fire pit, picnic table, another table and chairs, and 2 Adirondack chairs. Everything was on a concrete pad except the picnic table that was on artificial grass. It was perfect. The staff was so nice and had great suggestions for places to eat etc. The sled dog kennel next door was so cool. The dogs never barked at night. In fact, we only heard them once during the day. The bathrooms were very clean as were the showers. They are individual rooms with the shower included. There are tent sites that have a great mountain view, a few cabins and plenty of RV sites. They have fun games and cool playground for kids. There is also mini golf that was popular with guests. The laundry was in the game room. There were 3 washers and 3 dryers. I am really short so I only had one dryer to chose from (I could've made my husband come do the upper dryers). The location is perfect for going to see Exit Glacier, since it is at the end of the street that the KOA is located. There is a restaurant and a Salmon Bake within walking distance. If we are ever back in Alaska in this area, we will definitely stay here again. Thanks for another great memory!!

I've stayed here twice and both times have been amazing! The bathrooms and showers are the cleanest I have seen and very well kept up. My kids were able to ride bikes all around and play on the playground with no issues. The staff is so nice and very accommodating. We don't have a single compalin about this campground

The campground was great. Great customer service. Kids had a great time at the play ground. They enjoyed the scavenger hunt and exploring the park. Clean bathrooms that came in handy since we had 5 grand kids with us. The layout was nice and spaces where very well spaced so you didn't feel like you where right on top of one another like at other places.
