Oil heater works well (1 gallon of #1 fuel oil is more than enough for one summer day and night). New canoe is a great addition. Now there are 2 canoes to handle when cabin is full with 4 people. Saw one bear late night beside picnic table. Bear sign along trail is least we've seen in past 5 years. Canoeing to the Situk river outlet and fishing are highly recommended. Spring in front of cabin is always nice as a water source (don't forget to treat or boil).

Lovely stay at Situk lake, the cabin was cozy. We were able to take the canoe out a couple of times too! Wished I would have brought waders to head up to Mountain Lake.
