Nice RV park, just make sure you have a clear understanding of what the charge is for your stay, and which discount (if any) is applied to your bill! When we paid our first month bill we informed Merderian RV park of our Veteran's status, and asked if a Veteran's discount was available, we were told that indeed Veteran's are eligible for a discount! The bill was paid, and at a Great rate!
We decided to stay another month assuming our Veteran's rate would be applied reflecting the same charge! We were charged a substantially higher rate? Come to find out the first month's bill discount we received was not the Veteran's discount we assumed it was, another kind of discount they were offering was applied, we were not informed of this discount that was applied, with no communication or explanation! The second month bill was a shock to us, way higher$$$, even with a Veteran's discount! Be careful no to be mislead! The lack of communication we received lead us to assume and have false expectations!

Meridian RV overall is well maintained and has a lot going for it. The sites are nicely kept, the amenities are generally in good shape, & the maintenance gentleman deserves special recognition — he is consistently kind, helpful, & clearly takes pride in his job. Honestly, he was the only consistently positive interaction we had with staff during the 2025-2026 season.

They offer a variety of events, which many residents and visitors seem to enjoy. While we did not participate, by choice, we wanted to be mindful of being under 55 and be respectful by utilizing amenities during low-demand hours. The showers are usable but could benefit from a deep clean and updated shower heads.

That said, the management experience was deeply disappointing. Over four months, we stayed multiple times with zero issues or complaints. Arizona and federal guidelines for 55+ communities allow up to 20% under-55 occupants— we were approved & welcomed since we proved to be quiet, respectful, & kid-free.

On our most recent visit, we arrived about an hour early, followed instructions to wait until closer to noon. We moved to our assigned site approximately 15–20 minutes before noon, exactly as advised. Instead, this resulted in a newer seasonal staff confronting and berating us in front of our RV site (which later we discovered was captured by our front end cam). Despite attempts to calmly resolve the situation and apologize for the misunderstanding, we were blacklisted from returning without warning nor opportunity to rectify.

After months of problem-free stays and contributing positively to this community— sharing sweet treats with office staff & residents, giving out dog treats, and cleaning up other resident dog poops; to being permanently banned over a 15-minute checkin discrepancy feels like a selective and inconsistent enforcement of their "rules".

Sadly, this experience overshadowed the other great aspects of this campground.
You always remember how a place made you feel.

We only stayed one night and visited family in the area, yet for the time we were there, this place definitely met our expectations. We stayed in site 2 (gravel) which was on the small side; however, we were able to park our toad in the parking lot in front of the office, and as I said, we were only there overnight. The bath house had a coded entry and the showers were hot and clean. While we didn't use the laundry or the pool, both looked very nice. The office staff was friendly and helpful. If we are in the area again, we will stay here.

Fantastic, the blonde lady at the desk, was super helpful. And the pool and hot tub, are the best, of all Encores, I have visited. Nice wide paved roads. 50a, flu.
Absolutely will return!

Our favourite rv resort in Arizona! The staff is amazing and helpful, the pool area is next to none and the park is the cleanest we have visited. Peaceful and laid back, yet everything you could need within 5-10 minutes. Highly recommend this resort.
