Rock Shadows RV Resort (Age Restricted 55+)

called this morning to speak with someone about their lot rent/applicarion fee and process. Linda answered and I started with “Hi Linda, my name is ______, I was calling to see if you could answer some questions in regards to lot rent and application fee” before I could even finish speaking Linda hung up on me. Before I could even explain that my father is looking to relocate and interested in the community. I called back a few times after as well she declined all call until I called from a different number and she answered. I am appalled at her lack of professionalism.

This isn’t an Rv park ! We weren’t particularly made to feel welcome . The staff begrudgingly checked us in , but no map, no information, no showers , no outdoor furniture at the pitch .
The only redeeming feature and the only reason this place doesn’t get one star , is the pool area which is wonderful.

5/5 stars. Loved this place. The 2 water and ice machines they have on property were an absolute gamechanger for us. It's not something we normally see at parks on our travels across the US. It made filling our 5 gallon jugs a breeze and we were able to just put the cooler right under the ice shoot after packing it. Loved the ease. You can also get 10 lb bags and tie them.

They have a machine right next to the main office and another in the back. We used the one in the back by our site. Was so nice getting ice and water in the morning, nothing worse than carrying ice back from the store in Arizona haha.

The location is easy to find and right next to the highway for easy road access. Very quite overall. The superstition mountains in the background are the coolest things ever.

Staff was beyond welcoming and warm. Tracey is gone and her replacement Chris is awesome. They re-did the roads which my 5th wheel loved. Very easy pull in spots as well which mix in with the permanent housing.

They have a massive community area / kitchen with happy hours on Tuesdays which we participated in. The ice machine came in big here again for the happy hour which turned into a night swim. The pool is very well kept. They also have pickle ball courts but that'll have to wait till next visit.

The new pickle ball courts are in and so nice! I hope to have one of our lovely residents teach me how to play as soon as it cools off a bit!

We were headed home to Reno NV and decided to stay here for a week. Very clean park with reasonable sized spaces. Make sure you have long electric and water hoses as the hookups are on the passenger side. The sewer dump is on the drivers side. All the sites are back in.
We tow a jeep behind our motorhome and they have space when you pull in to unhook and space when you leave to hook back up which is nice.
They have a gravel dog park which is not too bad but would like a little grass. It is a big park with over 1000 sites. We would stay here again.
