Indian Skies RV Resort (Age Restricted 55+)

Over the years I visit when they have a craft and bake sales looking for unique gifts for birthdays or holidays. Unfortunately over the years only TWO vendors/residents have been pleasant. I greet everyone with a smile and a Good Morning or Good Afternoon. I received silence in return. My question is why open to the public if you're so cold to the public when we enter? Maybe this is just my experience. Unfortunately it's enough to loose my business and recommendations to visit the sales.

This is our second winter here. We stayed 3 months last year, and 6 months this year, and have already reserved 6 months for next year. What has really brought us back, has been the people. You will find the people here very welcoming and a lot of fun. This place is very clean, very nice hall and pool, and hot tub, with a lot of fun activities that gets you into the mix and you meet people quick. And to top it all off, is the great weather !! We originally came here on a hunch, sure glad we did.

I recently bought a nice little trailer to live in. Kayrene the manager is super nice and very professional. There's so many amenities. Coolidge is a medium size city that has all the shopping you need. If there something else you need Casa Grand is only about 20 minutes away. This is a great place to retire. Everyone is very friendly. I couldn't be happier 💕

Management worked with residents to plan activities which are run by residents. There was a calendar of various activities that were well attended. Upon arrival there were 40 people playing beanbag baseball. We watched and several people were very friendly and welcoming. The next morning we learned they had a very active and inclusive pickleball group sometimes filling both courts. There was instuction time for new players. There were several music performers brought in for small fee and a park band. (Dancing was common) We originally planned a short stay and converted to 1 month on day 2. They had a very good special. The office staff was very helpful and accommodating. The pool is well maintained and they have exercise activities. We stayed at Indian Skies longer than anywhere else and we now rate other locations in comparision to it.

The reviews are questionable as to what those people were wanting for accommodations. This "resort" has jammed together as many tiny homes, spaces & RVs as possible, within a fenced area, so tightly that you hear your neighbors talking through the camper walls & smell the cigarette smoke if that's what they do! ONE small dog park, the only place your pet has to run openly - that's tough for a 50 lb. active dog. All these people do is have potluck, parades & go off with fourwheelers to find hills & dusty roads to "get out into the countryside"! But the construction of space was the hardest to deal with. The pool was nicely laid out but a bunch of men take over the hotter with loud hit songs of the 70s & 80s so...whatever. The women sew inside a room, sitting but making kitchen stuff for God only knows-junk! We didn't have our motorhome so thought we were renting a nice 5th wheel from a resident there, who was trying to sell it. Now we know why! It was horrible, cold, uncomfortable seating, a terrible sloping queen size bed that caused you to fall into the center of the bed, into my husband, made it impossible to manage. Each day we woke up stiffer & with more back pain. We managed only one month & knew we couldn't stay for the 3 months we paid up front for! We gave the reason for leaving early as "our motorhome" was repaired. But the truth was that this place was definitely not a resort. It was more like where old folks go to live out their "end-of-life" times. Coolidge itself is a dump of a small, junky town. Indian Skies managemt wouldn't even call me so I could talk with them about getting some part of our money reimbursed! Refused to speak with me based on their "refund policy". Buyer BEWARE. DON'T CHOOSE THIS HORRIBLE FACILITY. There are much more beautiful & comfortable real resorts south of that town. I'm not even bothering to look up the name right now, just because I want to forget that period from December to January 2026. Worst year of our retirement travels! Live & learn!
