Highly recommended campground. From the friendly check-in to the well numbered and signed spaces, it was a joy to be here. We stayed along the river, I recommend #32! The camp was clean, well kept. Clean bathrooms and nice walking trails. Don't miss out on the hile to the platform at Sugarloaf. It's only about a 15 minute hike and the views are fantastic. You can't hike to the very hilltop, private property, but still worth it.

This is the most dog friendly RV park! We have stayed there several times now. They have a shaded fenced dog park, a number of grassy dog pads for walking dogs, and a huge grassy off-leash dog area next to the Verde river. Just beautiful! The hosts are very welcoming and keep the place spotlessly clean. Poop bag receptacles are emptied often, and poop bags provided. The parking spaces are at an angle, which gives you a very green view. It’s also very close to Downtown and there is lots to do. We highly recommend the Copper Art Museum!

This was one of the nicest campgrounds we’ve ever stayed at. We had a beautiful quiet site overlooking the Verde River. Bob, who checked us in, was friendly and helpful. All the sites were spacious and the entire campground was clean and well maintained. Restrooms were spotless, spacious, and clean-smelling. Fantastic! Awesome fenced dog park, complete with water and water dish for our pups. They had a blast! We walked the path along the riverbank, which was gorgeous. We also climbed the staircase up the mountain on the property and got spectacular views. We loved our stay at Rio Verde RV park and hope to return before too long.

We are SO happy we found this place! Site #33 with the Verse River view was perfect. Just big enough to not feel crowded and easy to get in to. And the dog off leash area down by the river is a puppy paradise! (See my pics!) Also, Amanda in the front office is awesome… she could give master’s class on welcoming guests and making them feel well cared for. We would definitely come back if we’re in Cottonwood again 😁 ~@therunawaypeach

Mandy is a great park manager. She, Kaylene, Jeremy and the camp hosts were professional, polite and totally attentive to my needs and the coach's needs. Very well ran park. Facilities snd campsites meticulously cared for and maintained. Lots of awesome hikes immediately adjacent to the park and along the Verde River. Old Town Cottonwood is nearby. Convenient to Sedona. Will definitely stay here again.
