I had such a wonderful experience staying at this campground. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome. Everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and thoughtful, which created such a warm and positive atmosphere throughout the entire property. You can really tell that the team cares about the guests and takes pride in making sure everyone has a great stay.

The amenities here are exceptional. Everything is well maintained and designed with comfort in mind. One of the highlights for me was the dog park—my dog absolutely lived for it and enjoyed it religiously every single day. It was spacious, clean, and such a great place for dogs to run and play. As a pet owner, it meant a lot to have such a wonderful space where my dog could be happy and active.

The overall vibe of the campground is something special. Not only is the staff fantastic, but the guests are also friendly and welcoming, which really adds to the sense of community. It’s the kind of place where people smile, say hello, and share conversations with neighbors. That positive energy makes it feel less like a campground and more like a little community.

I also really appreciated the activities that were offered throughout the day. It was clear that the staff put a lot of thought into planning things that bring people together and make the experience even more enjoyable. There was always something going on, which added so much fun and variety to the stay.

This was the perfect place for me to spend the winter. Between the amazing staff, great amenities, welcoming guests, and thoughtful activities, it truly felt like a home away from home. I’m so grateful for the experience and will absolutely be coming back again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a friendly, vibrant, and well-run campground.

We stayed here for the month of January 2026. We had a deluxe pull thru site (near the clubhouse) and found it to be very spacious for our 41' 5th wheel and F350 dually. Could have easily parked a second vehicle as well. Our site also had a picnic table. There are multiple choices in sites here with the pricing/options to meet different needs. Easy access from I10. Easy to maneuver inside the park as well. We saw many large Class As pulling enclosed trailers as well as many large 5th wheels being towed with Semi rigs ... all sizes will find this park can accommodate. The laundry facility was large and had plenty of machines...all were working except 1 during our stay. The clubhouse was outstanding!!! Lots of choices for games and activities. Also has a gym. You really get your money's worth at this campground. Walking the dog off leash on the beach was one of our favorite activities here. Keep in mind, outside of the campground you won't find much in the way of entertainment though. It is in the desert and it is a small, kind of sad little town (Ehrenberg). The folks we met at the post office were very friendly though. Note, if you drive to the post office from the campground (about 2 miles) be sure to watch for the speed trap (ask me how I know!!!!!) Right across the river and only about 6 miles from the campground was a great Albertsons for groceries in Blythe, Cali. We would stay here again if in the area.
Note 1...When we booked our site we paid a site lock fee for a specific site (not just a specific site type). Had it in writing from the campground. We booked about 8 months ahead of time. When we arrived they had moved us to a different site (same site type). When I mentioned that we had locked a particular site I was told "the folks in that site have been here for a few months and wanted to extend their stay". That is great that they wanted to stay BUT IMO *they* should have been moved to a different site and *our* reservation should have been honored. All of the staff members were very nice. I did not make a fuss and just used the site they put us in. Just don't agree it was the *right* thing to do.
Note 2..price listed includes all taxes and fees.

River sands resort just gives me such an at home feeling both times I’ve stayed here. Everything is impeccably clean - the spaces, the rec center, pool, hot tub. The manager Lou is AWESOME. Whatever he’s paid, it’s not enough 😂. It’s right on the Colorado River. Most spaces seem to be super easy and spacious pull thrus. It’s ran like a true resort. I couldn’t ask for more. It will always be my stop when we do our cross country trips. I just wish it was closer to home so I could bring all the family too! I’m sure it’s a BLAST in the summer. Oh and did I mention if you have a side by side there are endless trails and desert to explore right off the park! Just, heaven. - Happy Camper

Super location on the Colorado River. Great beach, the clubhouse, fitness facility, pool etc are 5 star. Staff are super, especially Daniel. He is great, super friendly and always trying to help. Our only item of contention is the un-enforced 10mph speed limit. Most people abide but many don't, driving very fast, raising alot of dust, including some staff on golf carts. Otherwise, the staff and management are working very hard to get this new KOA location to its required corporate standards. Good job yall!

This place is a hidden gem and simply amazing. Unfortunately, there isn't much to do in the surrounding area and the only shopping are little convenience stores. The closest grocery store is over the border in California but luckily isn't too far.

The riverfront beach is like an oasis with smooth sand, shallow water and tiki huts. The pool and hot tub were immaculate and the rec room had lots of fun entertainment for the family. Everything was clean, furniture was in good condition and the weather was perfect during our stay. The laundry facilities and bathrooms were also perfectly clean. Our interaction with staff was minimal but they were friendly.

Picnic tables are not provided unless you reserve a premium site which was a disappointment. However the sites are very large and mostly level.
