We stayed in the RV Park. It's old school but pretty nice and could use more concrete (like a pad to park on). The Patio's are pretty narrow. The Picnic tables are nice. The pool is nice, but the exercise room has really old equipment and I probably wouldn't take a shower in the bathrooms. The Golf Course has a good layout, but it is pretty run down. It probably hasn't been rated in years and my Grint GPS wouldn't work. We cancelled our second tee time.

Very nice well maintained resort! RV camping at this location is an afterthought to selling home sites. Utilities are far behind most RVs based on where they want you to park rv, front close to street. The water is located further due to it being on the opposite side of the power pedestal. Unless you're well prepared or have been here before you need extra water, sewer and possibly power extensions to hook up and park where they require you to. Fortunately host Tom loaned me their only 25' water hose on hand, saving me to go buy another one on short notice. Also like many other parks, they have lots of rules, many of them, which mean nothing because there's no one to enforce them. The biggest offenders are (at least half) of the permanent long-term residence who travel well over the 15.5 MPH speed limit rule on their golf carts on the narrow small streets. Also, this property does not have any on-site garbage disposal. Garbage is collected at your site Monday or Thursday, which is great. However, any additional household garbage must be kept in your RV till those days. All the staff we interacted with the professional and helpful. Amenity design (pool, laundry, craft rooms, lawn bowling & most public areas) are beautiful and big enough to handle the large crowds at this site property. The exception is Pickleball, 2 courts on site, NOT ENOUIGH for the amount of guests. An outside club 26 court adjacent to this resort is open but requires $50 and to register on line to use them. Overall a very well designed & maintained property.

We have stayed here twice in our CLASS A motorhome. The most recent visit proved how accommodating and professional they are. I accidentally booked the wrong start date for our stay and they were kind enough to shift our dates without charging us extra. The park itself is immaculate and filled with very friendly people! Everyone said hello, asked us where we were from, and how long we were staying. Most people we met were snowbirds (many from Canada). The pool is immense and the spa would easily hold 30 people! Located directly behind the spa is a magnificent propane fireplace (just turn the dial). We didn’t get time to do any of the activities or use the gym, bistro or golf courses. I highly recommend this park - give it a try.

If you’re looking for a extended stay RV park for the season, then this is a great place to be. Lots of activities, great pool and fitness center, with lovely showers. It’s a clean park and beautifully landscaped. A plethora of craft rooms like sewing and woodworking, a card room, and a lots of other activities designed to keep the over 55 crowd as active as they want to be. However, short-term stays are less practical due to tight, 90-degree back-in spots with limited street width and challenging palm tree obstacles The streets could be wider, with much better sightlines and I personally witnessed a traffic accident inside the park. Golf course fairways are nestled into the park, and it is not unusual to hear golf balls ricochet of buildings and campers, so stay away from spaces that line the golf course. And then there is the noise issue, and it is BAD! US Airforce fighter jets take off from Luke AFB, and they BUZZ the RV park over 60 times a day between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. The noise is so bad that you cannot carry on a conversation. If you like watching and picking out US fighter airplanes, pull out a chair because with planes flying less than 10,000 overhead, you can pick out the F16 Falcons from the F35 Lighting. If you’re planning a stay of less than 2 weeks, this is an expensive option. If you’re staying for a 2–4-month season, and you can put up with the noise, this is a friendly and active over 55 community.

I will begin by sharing that we planned a week in the greater Phoenix/Scottsdale area as an exploratory week. We have wintered in our RV the last 5 years in Palm Desert at Emerald Desert RV Resort. But thought we needed to check other options and so many people head to AZ. Welp - AZ RV “resorts” are not our cup of tea. But we did drive through others and talked to locals to see if there were other options. All are attached to park model 55 and over communities. We do believe that Pueblo El Mirage is the best of the places to park an RV. The facilities are well taken care of. Property well maintained. People are friendly. Lots of organized activities. Bright fun lights at night. Sites are large. Sounds perfect? For us the lack of real grass, an over abundance of rock is not our personal preference. Maybe if we started here and not in Palm Desert this might have been our “norm”. The location is not convenient to anything. A rather desolate location definitely doesn’t help. Another knock - the golf course right next door is a poorly maintained muni at best. We played it once - won’t play it again. And last but definitely not least - Luke Air Force Base is 4 miles away - you will be singing God Bless America about 40x a day. And don’t worry people won’t hear you. And … you do get used to it. All that being said - it’s the best the immediate area has to offer
